OJo Caliente Hot Springs healing Journey
Best Cleansing And Healing Experience

Sometimes a journey is about getting from one destination to another.

And sometimes a journey changes you along the way.

My recent cross-country drive to begin a new chapter of my life and open my new location in Beverly Hills, California, became much more than a road trip.

It became a spiritual journey.

Before arriving in Los Angeles, I intentionally stopped at several places that have deep traditions of healing, prayer, meditation and spiritual reflection.

My first stop was Ojo Caliente, New Mexico, where I spent time in the mineral hot springs and focused on cleansing, releasing and renewing my energy.

From there, I traveled to Chimayó, New Mexico, where I visited the historic El Santuario de Chimayó, prayed for my clients, and collected sacred earth and holy water.

Then I continued west to Sedona, Arizona, where I spent time surrounded by the magnificent red rocks, visited the beautiful shops and galleries, and meditated near one of Sedona's famous energy vortex areas.

By the time I finally reached Beverly Hills, I felt as though I had completed a spiritual preparation for this new chapter.

And throughout the entire journey, I kept thinking about something I have told my clients for years:

You have to fill your own cup before you can continue pouring into everyone else.

Beginning My New Chapter as a Psychic in Beverly Hills

After more than 35 years working as a psychic, intuitive guide, spiritual advisor and healer, I have learned something very important about people.

Many of us are exhausted because we spend so much of our lives taking care of everyone else.

We take care of our children.

We take care of our partners.

We take care of our parents.

We worry about our friends.

We work.

We manage households.

We solve other people's problems.

We listen to everyone else's worries.

And somewhere along the way, we can forget to ask ourselves:

“Who is taking care of me?”

This is something I see frequently in my work with clients, particularly people who come to me because of relationship problems, heartbreak, family difficulties, loneliness, anxiety about the future or feeling emotionally overwhelmed.

And this is one of the reasons I wanted my cross-country journey to include time for my own spiritual cleansing, meditation, prayer and self-care.

Because I can't tell my clients to fill their cup if I am not willing to fill mine.

So that's exactly what I did.

Stop One: Ojo Caliente, New Mexico — Cleansing and Renewal

5

My first meaningful spiritual stop was Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs in New Mexico.

There was something incredibly appropriate about beginning my journey there.

Ojo Caliente is known for its naturally occurring mineral springs and its long history as a destination for bathing, wellness and restoration. The location sits in a beautiful northern New Mexico landscape, surrounded by mountains and high desert.

But for me, this wasn't simply about taking a relaxing soak.

I went there with an intention.

I wanted to cleanse.

I wanted to release some of the emotional weight that comes with years of working with people and carrying their stories.

I wanted to slow down.

I wanted to breathe.

And I wanted to prepare myself for the new life waiting for me in California.

There is something about sitting quietly in warm water and allowing yourself to stop thinking about your responsibilities for a little while.

No phone.

No rushing.

No trying to solve someone else's problem.

Just being present.

For me, that was the beginning of my spiritual reset.

Why Cleansing Yourself Is So Important

One of the things I often tell my clients is that we don't always realize how much we carry.

You can walk into a room feeling fine and leave feeling exhausted.

You can spend hours listening to a friend's problems and suddenly realize that you've taken on their emotional burden.

You can spend years trying to keep a family together while ignoring your own needs.

You can be the person everyone calls when something goes wrong and eventually forget that you are allowed to need support, too.

That is why I believe regular spiritual and emotional cleansing can be helpful as part of a person's self-care practice.

Cleansing doesn't have to mean something complicated.

Sometimes cleansing means taking a bath.

Going for a walk.

Sitting outside.

Meditating.

Praying.

Turning your phone off.

Writing in a journal.

Saying no.

Or simply giving yourself permission to rest.

Ojo Caliente reminded me of that.

And then my journey continued.

Stop Two: Chimayó, New Mexico — Prayer, Sacred Earth and a Miracle

5

After Ojo Caliente, I traveled to Chimayó, New Mexico, to visit El Santuario de Chimayó.

Chimayo Church New Mexico
Guada Lupe

This was one of the most meaningful stops on my entire journey.

El Santuario de Chimayó is a historic adobe shrine and National Historic Landmark that has been a place of worship and pilgrimage for generations. People have traveled there to pray for healing, offer prayers for others and give thanks.

The spiritual history of the site goes back even further.

The National Park Service explains that the Tewa people had traditions connecting the area with healing long before the Spanish arrived. Later Catholic traditions became associated with the site and its sacred earth.

And then there is the remarkable story of the crucifix.

The Story of the Chimayó Miracle

According to the traditional account documented by the National Park Service, in 1810 a man named Don Bernardo Abeyta saw a mysterious light coming from the ground during Holy Week.

When he investigated, he discovered a crucifix.

The crucifix was taken to a church in Santa Cruz, but the story says that the crucifix repeatedly disappeared from that church and was found again at its original location in Chimayó.

After this happened several times, people believed that the crucifix wanted to remain in Chimayó.

A chapel was eventually built there, and the sanctuary grew from this tradition.

The sanctuary also contains the small room known as el pocito, associated with the sacred earth that pilgrims have traditionally visited as part of their prayers.

The National Park Service describes generations of people coming to Chimayó seeking healing and spiritual support and notes the longstanding tradition surrounding the earth beneath the shrine.

Whether you approach the story through faith, history or spirituality, standing inside this little sanctuary is a powerful experience.

I Prayed for My Clients at Chimayó

This is something I especially want my clients to know.

I didn't go to Chimayó just for myself.

I went with my clients in my heart.

While I was there, I prayed for the people who have trusted me over the years.

I prayed for clients experiencing heartbreak.

I prayed for people struggling with relationships.

I prayed for people dealing with difficult family situations.

I prayed for people experiencing grief.

I prayed for people who were frightened about their future.

And I prayed for people I felt needed a little extra spiritual support.

If you are one of my clients, you were included in those prayers.

I also collected sacred earth and holy water to bring with me as I began this new chapter.

For me, these aren't objects that replace medical care or guarantee a particular result.

They are symbols of faith, prayer, intention and spiritual connection.

And they remind me of something I have always believed:

Sometimes people need to know that someone is thinking about them, praying for them and holding a positive intention for them.

Stop Three: Sedona, Arizona — Meditation, Red Rocks and Energy Vortexes

7

After Chimayó, I continued west toward one of my favorite stops on this journey:

Sedona, Arizona.

If you have never been to Sedona, it is difficult to describe the feeling of being surrounded by those enormous red rock formations.

There is something almost cathedral-like about the landscape.

And Sedona has developed a worldwide reputation as a destination for spiritual exploration, meditation, wellness and energy work.

Visit Sedona identifies four famous vortex areas: Airport Mesa, Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock and Boynton Canyon. These locations are traditionally regarded as places where the Earth's energy is believed to be especially powerful and are popular locations for meditation, reflection and spiritual practices.

I wanted to experience that atmosphere myself.

My Meditation at a Sedona Energy Vortex

I was able to spend time meditating near one of the vortex areas.

For me, meditation isn't about trying to force something to happen.

It is about becoming quiet.

I sat and allowed myself to breathe.

I looked at the red rocks.

I listened.

And I thought.

I thought about my clients.

I thought about my journey.

I thought about Beverly Hills.

And I thought about how important it is for all of us to occasionally stop trying to control everything and simply allow ourselves to be present.

People experience Sedona's vortex tradition differently. Some people describe feeling peaceful, energized or inspired; others simply enjoy the opportunity to sit quietly in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.

The vortex concept is a spiritual tradition rather than a scientifically established measurement of energy, but Sedona itself has embraced the tradition as part of its spiritual and wellness culture.

For me, the meditation was meaningful.

It helped me become still.

And sometimes stillness is where we hear ourselves most clearly.

The Beautiful Shops, Crystals and Spiritual Side of Sedona

One of the things I loved about Sedona was that it wasn't only about the red rocks and vortexes.

There are beautiful galleries, jewelry stores, crystal shops, metaphysical stores, boutiques and spiritual shops throughout the area.

Sedona has more than 80 galleries, with many concentrated around Uptown, Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, Hillside and the famous Gallery Row along State Route 179.

I especially enjoyed exploring the shops because there is so much that resonates with the kind of work I do.

Crystals.

Jewelry.

Spiritual books.

Artwork.

Minerals.

Gifts.

Metaphysical items.

And beautiful handmade pieces.

Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village is particularly beautiful, with Spanish-style architecture, courtyards, galleries and more than 50 specialty shops and galleries.

Sedona's official tourism information also specifically highlights its metaphysical and spiritual shops, including places selling crystals, books and aromatherapy products.

Walking around Sedona reminded me how many different ways people seek connection, meaning and spiritual comfort.

What Sedona, Chimayó and Ojo Caliente Taught Me

When I look back at the three major spiritual stops on my journey, I see three different lessons.

Ojo Caliente taught me about cleansing.

Chimayó reminded me about prayer.

Sedona reminded me about stillness and meditation.

And all three brought me back to the same message I have shared with my clients for years:

You have to fill your own cup.

What Does “Fill Your Cup” Really Mean?

I often tell my clients:

“You cannot pour from an empty cup.”

It is an expression I believe very deeply.

If you spend your entire life taking care of everyone else while neglecting yourself, eventually you become depleted.

And when you're depleted, everything becomes harder.

Relationships become harder.

Parenting becomes harder.

Work becomes harder.

Making decisions becomes harder.

Even being patient with the people you love becomes harder.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish.

It is preparation.

It gives you the strength to continue being there for the people you love.

This is particularly important for people who are natural caregivers.

If you are always the strong one, ask yourself:

Who gets to take care of you?

What Self-Love Really Means

Self-love is sometimes misunderstood.

It doesn't mean thinking you're better than everyone else.

It doesn't mean becoming selfish.

It doesn't mean ignoring your responsibilities.

And it certainly doesn't mean that you will never have a bad day.

Self-love means recognizing that your needs matter, too.

It means treating yourself with the same compassion you would give to someone you love.

If your best friend came to you heartbroken, would you tell her she was worthless?

Probably not.

You would comfort her.

You would tell her she deserves better.

You would remind her of her strengths.

You would probably encourage her to rest and take care of herself.

So why do we speak to ourselves so differently?

Self-love means beginning to change that conversation.

Simple Self-Love Action Steps You Can Start Today

You don't have to completely change your life to begin practicing self-love.

Start small.

1. Give yourself 15 minutes every day

Put your phone down.

Sit somewhere quiet.

Take a walk.

Meditate.

Pray.

Drink your coffee slowly.

Just give yourself a few minutes that belong completely to you.

2. Learn to say “no”

You don't have to explain yourself endlessly.

Sometimes no is a complete sentence.

Protecting your energy is part of protecting yourself.

3. Stop apologizing for having needs

Wanting attention doesn't make you needy.

Wanting respect doesn't make you difficult.

Wanting love doesn't make you weak.

Having boundaries doesn't make you selfish.

4. Make one appointment with yourself every week

Treat yourself the way you would treat an important client or friend.

Schedule the time.

Put it on your calendar.

Don't cancel on yourself.

5. Ask yourself what you actually want

Not what your partner wants.

Not what your family wants.

Not what your friends think you should do.

Ask:

What do I want?

You might be surprised by the answer.

6. Write down three things you appreciate about yourself

Not your possessions.

Not your accomplishments.

You.

Maybe you're compassionate.

Maybe you're resilient.

Maybe you're funny.

Maybe you're a wonderful mother.

Maybe you've survived things nobody else knows about.

Give yourself credit.

7. Protect your peace

Pay attention to the people, situations and environments that consistently leave you emotionally drained.

You don't necessarily have to cut everyone out of your life.

But you can establish boundaries.

8. Let yourself receive

This is a big one.

Many people are excellent at giving but terrible at receiving.

Let someone help you.

Accept a compliment.

Rest when someone offers to take something off your plate.

You don't always have to be the strong one.

How Self-Love Can Change Your Relationships

One of the reasons I talk about self-love so often with my clients is because it affects relationships.

When you don't value yourself, you may tolerate things that hurt you.

You may stay too long.

You may constantly seek reassurance.

You may be afraid to establish boundaries because you're afraid someone will leave.

You may put someone else's happiness ahead of your own every single time.

Self-love doesn't guarantee that every relationship will work.

But learning to value yourself can change the way you approach relationships.

You begin asking different questions.

Instead of:

“How do I make this person love me?”

you might begin asking:

“Is this relationship healthy for me?”

Instead of:

“How can I keep them from leaving?”

you might ask:

“Am I being treated with the respect I deserve?”

Those are very different questions.

And sometimes asking a better question is the beginning of a completely different chapter.

Distance Healing and Spiritual Support From Anywhere in the World

My journey across America also reminded me that I don't have to physically be in the same location as my clients to support them.

I work with people throughout the United States and internationally.

That includes clients in:

Los Angeles

Beverly Hills

Santa Monica

Malibu

West Hollywood

Brentwood

Bel Air

New York

Philadelphia

Singapore

Japan

and many other locations.

My services are available through phone consultations, Zoom and email, and I also offer spiritual support and distance healing.

Distance healing is a spiritual practice centered around focused intention, prayer, meditation and energy work when the practitioner and client are not physically together.

For me, it can mean creating a quiet spiritual space for someone who has asked for support.

I don't promise miracles.

But I can offer my time, my experience, my intuitive guidance, my prayers and my intention to support you.

From New Mexico and Sedona to My New Home in Beverly Hills

When I look back at my cross-country journey, I realize that each stop prepared me for the next.

At Ojo Caliente, I focused on cleansing and letting go.

At Chimayó, I prayed for my clients and connected with a place where generations of people have come seeking spiritual comfort.

In Sedona, I meditated among the red rocks and spent time reflecting on my own path.

And then I arrived in Beverly Hills.

A new city.

A new location.

A new chapter.

But the same calling.

My journey reminded me that before we can give more to the people we love, sometimes we have to stop and take care of ourselves.

We have to rest.

We have to pray.

We have to meditate.

We have to cleanse.

We have to set boundaries.

We have to learn to say no.

And sometimes we simply need to sit somewhere beautiful and breathe.

You cannot pour from an empty cup.

So please fill yours.

Take care of yourself.

Make self-love a priority.

And remember that taking care of yourself doesn't mean you love other people less.

Sometimes it is exactly what allows you to love them better.

My journey brought me from Ojo Caliente to Chimayó, from Chimayó to Sedona, and finally to Beverly Hills.

And now I am here, ready to begin this next chapter.
