Moon Phases Instruction With Psychic Christine Wallace

The New Moon is traditionally associated with beginnings, intentions, possibilities and planting the seeds for what you would like to create next.

If you've been thinking about making a change, starting a relationship, changing careers, beginning a business, moving, or simply becoming a different version of yourself, the New Moon can be a beautiful symbolic starting point.

A Simple New Moon Ritual

Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed for approximately 10–15 minutes.

If it is safe to do so, light a white candle. Sit quietly and take several slow breaths.

Take a piece of paper and write:

“During this next chapter of my life, I would like to welcome…”

Then write down three intentions.

They don't have to be material things. You might write:

I welcome healthier relationships.I welcome greater confidence.I welcome new opportunities.I welcome peace into my home.I welcome clarity about my future.

Read your intentions quietly to yourself.

Fold the paper and place it somewhere private until the next New Moon. When you see it again, notice what changed—not only around you, but also in your own choices and behavior.

When to Consider a Psychic Reading

A New Moon reading can be especially meaningful when your questions concern:

new relationships • career changes • moving • starting over • future direction • setting personal intentions

For Los Angeles, the upcoming New Moon occurs October 10, 2026, making this a natural time to reflect on what you'd like the next chapter to look like.

🌓 First Quarter Moon — Decisions & Taking Action

Setting an intention is one thing.

Doing something about it is another.

The First Quarter Moon is commonly associated with action, decision-making and working through obstacles.

This can be a useful point in the lunar cycle to ask yourself:

What am I avoiding?

A First Quarter Clarity Exercise

Take a sheet of paper and divide it into two columns.

On the left write:

WHAT I WANT

On the right write:

WHAT IS STOPPING ME

Be specific.

For example:

I want a loving relationship — but I'm afraid of being hurt again.

I want to change careers — but I'm afraid I'll make the wrong decision.

I want to move forward — but I keep returning emotionally to the past.

Now choose one small action you can realistically take during the next seven days.

The purpose isn't to magically solve the situation.

It's to stop allowing uncertainty to keep you completely motionless.

When to Consider a Psychic Reading

This can be an interesting time for a reading if you're choosing between different paths or repeatedly second-guessing yourself.

Questions might involve:

relationships • major decisions • career opportunities • business • family situations • whether to stay or move forward

🌕 Full Moon — Illumination, Gratitude & Release

The Full Moon is probably the lunar phase most strongly associated with contemporary spiritual practices.

Symbolically, I think of it as illumination.

Sometimes we need to see something before we can change it.

That might be a relationship pattern, fear, resentment, attachment, habit or situation we've outgrown.

A Full Moon Release Ritual

Before beginning, sit somewhere quiet and take several slow breaths.

Write:

“I am ready to release…”

Then allow yourself to write freely.

You might want to release:

fear, anger, resentmentan unhealthy attachment guilt self-doubt a relationship that has endedan old version of yourself

When you've finished, read the page privately.

Then say:

“I acknowledge what this experience taught me. I give myself permission to move forward.”

You can tear the paper into small pieces and discard it.

You don't need an elaborate ceremony.

The important part is consciously identifying what you no longer want to carry with you.

Add Gratitude

Now write down three things you're grateful for.

Release doesn't always have to focus on what went wrong.

Sometimes recognizing what remains good in our lives helps us see our situation differently.

When to Consider a Psychic Reading

A Full Moon reading may appeal to someone seeking insight into:

relationships • emotional patterns • closure • personal transformation • recurring situations • spiritual questions

The upcoming Full Moon in Los Angeles occurs October 25, 2026.

🌗 Waning Moon — Clearing & Letting Go

As the Moon moves from Full toward New, many spiritual practices associate the waning period with clearing, releasing and preparing for something new.

I particularly like this period for something very simple:

clean your physical space.

Your surroundings can affect how you feel regardless of your spiritual beliefs.

Open your windows if weather and safety allow.

Put away clutter.

Throw away things you genuinely don't need.

Wash your bedding.

Take a shower or bath.

Turn off your phone for 20 minutes.

Then sit quietly in your refreshed space.

A Simple Spiritual Cleansing Practice

You can place a bowl of clean water nearby and light a white candle safely.

Take several slow breaths and imagine yourself letting go of the tension you've accumulated.

Then ask yourself:

“What am I holding onto that I no longer need?”

Don't force an answer.

Sometimes simply creating quiet is enough to realize what's been taking up too much space in your mind.

🌑 Then the Cycle Begins Again

This is what I love about using lunar phases for reflection.

There's a natural progression:

New Moon: What do I want to begin?

First Quarter: What action am I willing to take?

Full Moon: What am I finally seeing clearly?

Waning Moon: What am I ready to release?

And then you begin again.

You can even keep a Moon Journal and answer these four questions every month.

After several months, go back and read your answers.

You may be surprised by the patterns you discover.

When Is the Best Time to Have a Psychic Reading?

People sometimes ask me whether they should wait for a Full Moon or another spiritually significant date before having a reading.

My answer is no.

The best time for a psychic reading is often when you genuinely feel that you need clarity or another perspective.

You might be experiencing uncertainty about love, questioning someone's intentions, considering a major change, feeling emotionally stuck, or noticing that the same situation keeps repeating itself.

The Moon can give you a meaningful framework for reflection.

But you don't need to wait for the Moon to tell you it's time to pay attention to your life.
